KMVA Chairman Timur Tkachenko began fighting land fraud in Kiev

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) Timur Tkachenko first held a meeting of his newly created group "Transparency and accountability", which aims to combat corruption schemes in the capital. The first meeting was dedicated to the so -called "toilet schemes", through which land plots from the communal property of the city are illegally derived. The meeting became an event not only because of the importance of the topic, but also through the broad involvement of representatives of the public and deputies of different political forces, which demonstrates readiness for unification in the fight against corruption.

Tkachenko invited not only the deputies of the Kyiv City Council, but also representatives of district state administrations, the Ministry of Justice, the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Office of Combating Raiding and the Prosecutor's Office. For the first time, the issue of illegal alienation of land was considered in such a wide and diverse composition.

During the meeting of the Kyiv City Council deputy from "European Solidarity", Victoria Ptashnik spoke about her own experience in combating such a scheme on the Otrada massif (Shalimova St., Solomenskyi district). There, with a minimum number of votes (61), the Kyiv City Council approved the lease of a land plot of 1 hectares for "servicing" of only 70 square meters. The poultry stressed that gross violations of the procedure were made during the vote, the applicant's information and details were hidden, and all her questions were simply ignored.

The deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Servant of the People Mykola Konopelko noted that 25% of the total land area of Kyiv has already been leased, which is why the budget of the capital does not receive huge amounts every year. According to him, the reason for this situation is artificial obstacles and bureaucratic barriers created by KSCA officials, which directly contributes to corruption. Konopelko urged to immediately change the current procedure for providing land, making it more transparent and appropriate to the legislation.

Timur Tkachenko promised that city departments engaged in audit and anti -corruption activities will conduct a detailed screening of the processes of land transfer. The next meeting of the group "Transparency and accountability" will already consider specific steps to eliminate these schemes, including changes to the Kyiv City Council Regulation and to the current legislation.

Thus, thanks to the public work of this group, the problem of illegal alienation of land in Kiev has become one of the priority in the agenda. Now, Tkachenko stressed, any attempts to play the situation will become practically impossible due to the vigilance of the public and deputies.

Further development and effectiveness of measures against "toilet schemes" will show how serious the intentions of the city authorities and the chairman of the KMVA are to bring order in the sphere of land relations of the capital.
