Immunity on the verge: what to do to get your body working at full capacity again

Feelings of constant fatigue, frequent colds, and lack of energy may indicate a weakened immune system. Experts emphasize that in most cases, immunity weakens not because of serious illnesses, but because of lifestyle. At the same time, there is a simple and affordable algorithm that helps restore the body's defenses within one week — without medications or complex interventions.

The first key factor is a good night's sleep. Chronic lack of sleep is one of the main enemies of the immune system. It is during sleep that the body restores cells and activates mechanisms to fight viruses. The optimal duration of night rest is at least 7–8 hours daily.

The second element is water and a balanced diet. Fluid deficiency, excess sugar, and vitamin deficiencies weaken the immune response. A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts, and dairy products supports healthy gut microflora, one of the key centers of immune defense.

The third component is regular exercise. Even moderate physical activity has a positive effect on the circulation of immune cells. Just 20 minutes of brisk walking, light home exercises, or stretching is enough to make the body respond faster to infections.

The indoor microclimate is no less important. Dry and stagnant air weakens the mucous membranes, which are the first to come into contact with viruses. Regular ventilation and maintaining humidity at 40–60% significantly reduce the risk of disease.

The fifth factor is psychological state. Chronic stress and anxiety suppress immunity due to hormonal disruptions. Simple practices - walks in nature, breathing exercises, short meditations or pleasant morning rituals - help stabilize the emotional background and restore the body's protective resources.

Experts say that systematically following these five rules can produce noticeable results in just 7 days. People notice increased energy, reduced fatigue, and better resistance to seasonal infections.
