Law enforcement officers reported the suspicion of the instructor of one of the district territorial centers of acquisition and social support for obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of a special period. About it informs the office of the Attorney General.
The senior sergeant searched for servicemen who wanted to avoid the service, and for the cash remuneration helped them to resolve this issue. In particular, he contributed to:
- The escape of the military who returned from the unauthorized leaving of the part (HSC).
- Removing the military from transport that went to military units.
- Organization of their delivery to "safe" places by private transport.
The cost of such "services" depended on the complexity of the task and reached from $ 3 to $ 5 thousand per person. According to preliminary estimates, the suspect has earned more than $ 21,000 from at least five people.
The senior sergeant was detained while receiving another bribe of $ 10,000. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized:
- Rough records that confirm the illegal activity.
- Mobile phones.
- Money is equivalent to more than $ 36 thousand.
- Five gold ingots weighing 31 grams each, worth almost 700 thousand hryvnias.
At this time, the suspect has been chosen a preventive measure - detention. Investigators continue to identify all persons involved in the illegal scheme.
This incident once again demonstrates an acute problem of corruption in the assembly system of the Armed Forces, which requires immediate response from the state.
