In Kiev, a notary will stand before the court, who during his stay outside Ukraine illegally delegated his powers to third parties, allowing them to perform notarial acts on his behalf. This was reported by the Metropolitan Police.
The investigation found that in August -September 2022 the notary was abroad, but decided not to stop the notary practice. To do this, he handed over to his accomplices in Kiev access to an official working computer, electronic digital signature, notarial forms and seals. Thus, clients were given a power of attorney and other documents without the presence of the notary himself.
As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers documented the facts of unauthorized interference with information systems committed by a group of persons during martial law. As a result of the notary, they were suspected under Part 3 of Art. 27 and Part 5 of Art. 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It is about organizing and promoting unauthorized access to computer systems, which has a qualification as a serious crime. The investigation is now completed, the indictment has been sent to court.
As it is noted, the person involved in up to 15 years of imprisonment with a possible restriction of the right to occupy positions related to jurisprudence, up to three years.
This is not the first case of violation of the legislation by this notary: earlier he was already suspected of unauthorized signing of more than 110 documents.
