Today, on January 29, the Orthodox believers commemorate the memory of St. Lawrence of the Kiev-Pechersk. He is known as a prisoner and healer whom people asked for help in the treatment of diseases, including eye.

St. Laurentius lived in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and had the gift of healing. He was approached by people with various diseases, as well as those who suffered from ghost and damage. There is a known case when he helped a man who seemed to be obsessed with unclean power. Laurentius led him to the relics of the saints in the laurel, after which he found peace.

The saint is buried in the nearby caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, and his relics remain imperishable.
