The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP), based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine, through the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), initiated a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) regarding the confiscation of the property of a judge of the Kyiv-Svyatoshyn District Court of Kyiv region, presumably Vitaliy Nikushyn.
During lifestyle monitoring, the NACP found that in 2022–2023, the judge purchased three cars at significantly reduced prices:
-
Mercedes-Benz G 350 TD (2013) — for 10 thousand UAH with a market value of over 2.1 million UAH;
-
Mercedes-Benz G 500 (2013) — for 529 thousand UAH instead of almost 685 thousand UAH;
-
Renault ZOE (2017) — for 5 thousand UAH with an expert estimate of 431.5 thousand UAH.
The SAPO filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine to recover the Mercedes-Benz G 350 TD, part of the value of the Renault ZOE, and funds in the judge's accounts. The total amount of unfounded assets subject to confiscation exceeds UAH 3.3 million.
Previously, the NACP emphasized the need to monitor the lifestyles of judges in order to identify discrepancies between the income and property status of officials.
