On the night of Tuesday, October 29, Russian occupiers carried out another shelling of Kharkiv, hitting residential buildings in the Osnovyanskyi district of the city. As a result of this strike, four civilians died - two women and two men, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, reported on Telegram.
According to Sinegubov, the shelling occurred at around 03:00 in the morning, when an enemy shell hit private houses in the Osnovyanskyi district. As a result of the attack, one of the houses was completely destroyed, and two others were seriously damaged. After the shelling, a fire broke out in one of the houses.
A search and rescue operation began immediately after the attack. State Emergency Service personnel were clearing the rubble, trying to find survivors among the debris. As of 03:47, three people were confirmed dead, but the number of victims later increased to four.
“Unfortunately, four people died as a result of the enemy strike on residential buildings — two women and two men,” Sinegubov added. Currently, local services continue to work at the scene of the tragedy, recording the extent of the destruction and providing assistance to the victims.
This shelling is yet another example of the ongoing attacks on residential areas of Kharkiv, which continue to cause suffering to local residents. Despite the efforts of the military administration and rescuers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to restore peace and security in the city.
Today's strike leaves behind not only ruins and destroyed homes, but also pain and grief for the dead. The residents of Kharkiv once again found themselves face to face with the cruel reality of war, which mercilessly takes lives and destroys their future.
