Oxford Economics analytical company has published a large-scale study that has identified 1000 best cities in the world by a number of socio-economic indicators. New York took first place in the world rating, followed by London and Paris. Several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv, were among the list.
The rating has engulfed the largest cities in the world, which was evaluated by five key criteria:

Human capital,

Management,

The quality of life,
-
Ecology.
On the basis of these factors, experts were determined by the strengths of each city and its overall competitiveness.
World leaders
The first place in the rating was taken by New York, which is recognized as a world economic and financial center. London ranked second due to the high level of human capital, educational infrastructure and a variety of labor market. Paris, who took third place, was celebrated for the significant cultural heritage and a powerful tourist attractiveness.
Place of Ukrainian cities
Among Ukrainian cities, the highest position was taken by Kyiv, which was located in 335 place. The capital received relatively high estimates on the criteria "Human Capital" (244 place) and "Economy" (229 place).
