Amid the high-profile sanctions against Parimatch imposed by the National Security and Defense Council in 2023, a "new" player is quietly appearing on the Ukrainian gambling market - the online casino Stawki. But everything indicates that there is nothing new here: only the name has changed, and the scheme, teams, and methods have remained the same.
Stawki operates on an offshore .io domain, typical of resources that try to avoid any jurisdiction. And while the domain zone does not always mean a violation, in this case, offshore is a way to bypass sanctions, evade licensing requirements, and hide real owners.
According to Google OAuth, the site was created by GR8 Tech, the technical engine behind Parimatch. This is not a hidden connection, it is a direct continuation of an already known scheme disguised under a new name. And what is even more telling, Stawki is advertised through the same channels that previously promoted Parik24, including anonymous Telegram communities and semi-legal sites.
It is quite expected that this information is open and accessible to anyone with basic Internet search skills. However, it remains “invisible” to those who should stop such schemes. The state regulator PlayCity, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, KRAL — all these structures demonstrate either complete inaction or conscious connivance. Behind the external facade of the fight against the illegal gambling business — there is a void, where decisions are not made, and actions are imitated.
Meanwhile, citizens who fall for Stawka's blatant advertising continue to lose money, without the possibility of legal protection. And the state loses not only tax revenues, but also the remnants of public trust.
Stawki is not just a rebranding of Parimatch. It is a mirror of a systemic crisis, where the gambling mafia changes its signs, and regulators turn a blind eye. And in this scenario, it is not the player, the brand, or the official who loses - the entire country loses.
