A deadly fire broke out in a private residential building in the village of Druzhna, Buchansky district, Kyiv region. While extinguishing the fire, rescuers discovered the bodies of two deceased men.
The fire occurred in the morning, December 27, at 10:50 a.m. As reported by the press service of the Kyiv Region Police, employees of the State Emergency Service (SES) promptly arrived at the scene.
During the fire extinguishing, the bodies of two men were found in one of the rooms. It was previously determined that the cause of the fire was a faulty electric heater.

Law enforcement officers have opened criminal proceedings for violating the requirements of fire or technogenic safety established by law, which led to the death of people. Investigators are currently establishing the circumstances of the tragedy.
This tragic incident once again reminds us of the importance of following the rules for operating electrical appliances, especially during the cold season. Using faulty or unreliable heaters can have fatal consequences.
Rescuers urge citizens to carefully check the condition of electrical appliances before use, avoid overloading the electrical network, and not leave heaters unattended.
