Former MP Vitaliy Khomutinnik, who was repeatedly called one of the richest parliamentarians of Ukraine, disappeared from radars before the start of the full -scale war. According to journalists, he has left Ukraine on a private aircraft and has since then leads a luxurious lifestyle in the elite quarters of Britain, Cyprus and Monaco.
Before the escape, Homutinnik owned a estate in Kozina - more than 70 acres of land and a house worth about $ 1.5 million. Now the residence is empty. At the time, the Exnaress himself was settled in the prestigious suburb of London - Virginia Watter, where houses cost from £ 5 million.
In 2024, the Homutinnik purchased Rolls-Royce for more than $ 600,000 and Mercedes for another 100,000. The cars were "evacuated" abroad through a chain of gaskets. This fact has already fallen in the field of view of Ukrainian law enforcement officers who investigate the schemes of legalization of income not declared in Ukraine.
The Homutinnik was the beneficiary of Kasik Limited, a company that owned several Ukrainian societies. He also had registration in the elite residential complex of Dasudi Resident in Limassol. It was from there that, according to sources, separate financial transactions were currently being studied by the State Tax Service.
In addition to Britain and Cyprus, Vitaliy Khomutinnika was repeatedly seen on the Lazurore coast in the Principality of Monaco. There he rents or owns a private villa. This lifestyle contrasts with the declared income, which has become the basis for individual requests of law enforcement.
Despite the escape, the Homutinnik remains involved in several open affairs. It is about tax evasion, legalization of funds obtained illegally, as well as the possible financing of separatism and actions that can damage the state security of Ukraine.
Although none of the cases has come to the sentence, the State Tax Service is already checking the firms with which the Khomutinnik is related. However, the expatate itself continues to remain out of reach of the Ukrainian authorities - and while Ukraine is at war, it enjoys the freedom and comfort of emigration.
