Despite attempts by night frosts to bring back winter weather, spring is gradually taking its toll. Ukrainians should prepare for rising temperatures and rains that will cover most regions of the country this week. At the same time, the southeast will remain without significant precipitation.
As forecaster Natalia Ptukha reported in an interview with NV, the rain front will cover Ukraine in several stages. According to her, precipitation will begin on March 11, and over the next few days it will spread across the country.
On March 11-12, precipitation is expected mainly in the west and in the Carpathians. On March 12-13, the rainy zone will also cover the northern and most of the central regions.
"But we continue to have humid warm air spreading from the south and southwest, so the temperatures are still quite pleasant," Ptukha noted.
From March 14, rains will intensify: at night they will cover the western and northern regions, and in some places the center of the country. On March 15, light precipitation is expected in the northeastern regions.
At the same time, the southeast of Ukraine will remain dry - atmospheric fronts will not reach there, so no significant precipitation is forecast in this region.
What to expect from residents of the capital
Dry weather will remain in the capital and the region in the coming days, but on March 12, Kyiv will experience rain. It will be moderate at night and light during the day.
On March 13, it will rain again in the capital, and on March 14-15, cloudy weather with brief clearings will prevail. Precipitation will continue, but the rain will temporarily stop in the afternoon of March 14.
Thus, this week in Ukraine will be marked by spring rains, which will bring warm and humid air. Forecasters advise to prepare umbrellas, as precipitation will cover most of the country.
