The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has upheld the Ministry of Justice's lawsuit and confiscated the property of Russian businessman Sergei Kabargin. The decision was made on Monday, November 17.
The state's revenue includes a controlling stake, almost 53%, in JSC "Kirovograd Mining Management", which belongs to Kabargin through affiliated structures. The enterprise is engaged in the extraction of kaolin, which is used in the production of ceramics, porcelain, cement, cosmetics, and materials for the oil and gas industry.
The company's corporate rights are currently under arrest. Since May 2023, the National Agency for the Detection, Investigation and Management of Corruption Assets has been looking for a manager for the joint-stock company.
Recall that in June 2023, the SBU reported Kabargin to the authorities about his suspicions. According to law enforcement officials, he organized a scheme to export strategic raw materials from Ukraine for Rosatom, thanks to which he transferred billions of rubles to the Russian budget. JSC Kirovograd Mining and Processing Department was used to implement the transaction.
