Renowned medical expert Dr. Berg recalled that the liver is one of the most important organs of the human body, performing over 500 functions, and often diseases of this organ go unnoticed because it does not hurt even with serious lesions.
According to him, the liver is responsible for filtering and detoxifying the body, processing toxins, chemicals, and poisons. It participates in digestion, regulates the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, and produces cholesterol, which is necessary for building cells and hormones. Another important function is the synthesis of bile, which helps digest food and destroys harmful microorganisms.
Poor diet, alcohol abuse, and other bad habits gradually destroy the liver, preventing it from performing its functions. The biggest danger is that symptoms appear too late, when the damage may become irreversible.
According to Berg, you should pay attention to the following possible signs of liver dysfunction:
-
bulging round belly;
-
pain in the right arm, shoulder, or shoulder blade;
-
bloating;
-
white coating on the tongue and bitterness in the mouth;
-
skin problems - rashes, "spider veins."
At the same time, the doctor emphasizes that the liver is capable of regeneration if appropriate conditions are created for it. The recovery period is individual: in the best case, the process takes several months, in the worst case, several years, depending on the stage of the lesion.
