The head of the Zolotonishche district department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy region, Oleksandr Pylypenko, declared over 2 million hryvnias in cash and uses an Audi Q5 luxury car. This was reported by 368.media with reference to his declaration.
Despite the fact that the official is registered in the village of Pishchane, Zolotoni district, he actually lives in Cherkasy. His cash savings amount to 630 thousand hryvnias, and his wife Yulia Mykolayivna declared another 1.4 million hryvnias.
According to the declaration, the rescuer uses an apartment with an area of 69.3 square meters in Cherkasy, owned by his mother, Tetyana Borisovna. At the same time, Pylypenko has the right to free accommodation in the apartment.
His wife owns three plots of land in the Zolotonish district: two 2-hectare plots in the village of Boykivshchyna (Drabivska community, purchased in 2021) and one 500-square-meter plot in the Zolotonishka community (2022, worth only 3,042 hryvnias). Pylypenko himself also owns 2 hectares of land in Boykivshchyna, purchased in 2021.
The official uses a 2019 Audi Q5, registered to his mother in December last year. In addition, the rescuer owns an old 1997 VAZ-2106.
Despite a modest official salary of only 616,000 hryvnias per year and an unemployed wife, the Pylypenko family has managed to accumulate over two million hryvnias in cash. Oleksandr Pylypenko's income also includes 24,000 hryvnias in pension and social assistance.
Previously, in Cherkasy region, Pylypenko's name was mentioned in the context of schemes to extort money for "inspections" together with local officials. These episodes became the subject of attention of anti-corruption journalists.
Against the backdrop of low incomes and a luxurious lifestyle, the story of the savior from Cherkasy region once again demonstrates the contrast between the official declarations of civil servants and their real financial behavior.
