The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBSU) reported on the activity of evaders who are trying to illegally cross the border with Romania and Moldova. After the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the number of such attempts has increased significantly.
The border with Romania is 613.8 kilometers long and with Moldova, respectively, 939 kilometers long.
This was reported by the assistant to the head of the State Border Service, press secretary Andriy Demchenko. We would like to remind you that due to martial law, the departure of Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 60 who are subject to military service is prohibited.
Demchenko admitted that now the State Border Service of Ukraine records attempts to illegally cross the state border every day and detains violators every day.
"On certain days and periods, there may be more such attempts, on other days and periods - less. But in general, during the martial law period (compared to what it was before February 24, 2022), there have been significantly more of them," the press secretary of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported.
