Trump will not restore aid to Ukraine while Zelensky remains president

The administration of US President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Kyiv. According to Bild, Washington does not plan to resume military aid to Ukraine as long as Volodymyr Zelensky remains in power.

According to the publication's sources, after a recent meeting at the White House, it became clear that Trump does not see Zelensky as a partner. Moreover, the American president sees him as an obstacle to peace talks.

“Trump wants to force Zelensky to resign as president of Ukraine! How? By political pressure. As long as the 47-year-old politician is in power, Kyiv will not have new American weapons,” writes Bild.

Previously, the United States stated that the resumption of military aid to Ukraine depends on its readiness for peace negotiations and the end of the war.

In fact, Washington is demanding concessions from Kyiv and a demonstration of willingness to compromise with Moscow. However, Ukraine insists that any negotiations are possible only on the condition of territorial integrity.

If Bild's information is true, this could mean a long-term freeze on military support from the US. Without American weapons, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose important capabilities for defense and counter-offensive actions.

Negotiations are ahead in Saudi Arabia, where the Ukrainian delegation will try to convince the Americans to change their position. However, the question remains: will Kyiv agree to Washington's conditions, or will it risk continuing the fight without US support?
