Ukrainians can get an electronic permit for weapons through Diya

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported that outdoor users of the Diya mobile application must obtain and control weapons permits in electronic format.

Valeriya Tkach, deputy director for the development of electronic services of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, told about this on the air of the telethon, and said that this innovation will be another step in the digitalization document.

"The Diya application will display information about weapons," said Tkach.

According to her, this will be a publication where you can view all relevant information about the weapon: type, model, serial number and its status.

"Regarding weapons permits, it will be information only about existing permits, their status: active, suspended or canceled. The period of validity of the permit will also be indicated, for control, in order to renew it in a timely manner," she added.

Tkach emphasized that it will also be possible to order an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons and the document will be in digital form.

Ukrainians have already submitted almost 476,000 applications for various types of permits for weapons through the Unified Weapons Register.
