The Ukrainian knockout champion lost his championship fight because of the Russian

In the race for the title of WBC world champion in the first middleweight, the Australian boxer of Russian origin, Tim Tsiu, interfered, intercepting the opponent Serhii Bogachuk and leading to the cancellation of the fight.

Bogachuk was scheduled to face Sebastian Fundora on March 30 in Las Vegas for the vacant WBC middleweight world title. However, the American boxer refused the fight two weeks before the scheduled fight. Instead, Tszyu decided to take on Bogachuk for the WBO title after his original opponent Keith Thurman was injured in training.

The organizers of the event decided to organize a fight for Bogachuk for the interim title of the WBC champion against the American Brian Mendoza.

It is worth noting that Tsiu, Fundora and Mendoza work with the same promotion company - PBC.

Serhiy Bogachuk himself, a 28-year-old Ukrainian boxer, has an impressive professional record of 23 victories, all of them by knockout. The Ukrainian's only defeat occurred in 2021 against Brandon Adams from the USA.
