December began in Ukraine with calm and stable weather. According to Nataliya Ptukha, forecaster of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, this week is characterized by mostly dry days due to the influence of the anticyclone. But already at the end of the week, a certain change in weather conditions is expected.
The anticyclone currently prevailing in the region provides weather without significant precipitation. Fog can be observed only in places, especially at night and in the morning. Temperatures remain fairly stable:
- At night: from +1° to -5°, and sometimes up to -10° in the Carpathians.
- During the day: from -2° to +3°, in the south - up to +6°.
A feature of the beginning of December is almost the same temperature indicators during the day and at night, which indicates the uniform influence of the anticyclone. In the Carpathians, it is the coldest: night frosts reach -10°, daytime temperatures stay close to zero.
Minor changes will begin on Friday, December 6. Atmospheric fronts from the west will bring more cloudiness and precipitation. However, significant snowfalls should not be expected yet.
- December 6: only "separate wet snowflakes" are possible.
- December 7: light sleet and rain are forecast in most regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the southeast. Due to the relatively warm temperatures, the snow is unlikely to become completely dry.
It will be warmest in the south and Crimea. The daytime temperature here can reach +8...+10°, and at night it will stay around +6°. The southern part of Odesa region will look especially attractive during this period, where maximum heat is expected.
