The head of the patrol police department of the Odesa region caused an accident

The car in which the deputy chief of the patrol police department of the Odesa region was driving was involved in an accident. The incident happened on November 17, but the details and circumstances of the event became known only now.

The Mitsubishi driver failed to give way to the Suzuki, resulting in a collision.

"The passenger of the Suzuki car was indeed the deputy head of the department, who was injured. His wife, who was driving the car, was also injured," the police said.

It is reported that the police chief and his wife were sober, and the driver of the second car was drunk.

It should be noted that earlier today the Odesa public wrote that it was Deputy Chief of Police Artem Khilinichenko who was driving the car, who was intoxicated after visiting a restaurant. When the accident happened, he, according to Telegram channels, asked his wife to take the wheel.

After these reports, the patrol police issued a statement denying Khilinichenko's involvement in the accident. Earlier, the agency did not report anything about this accident.
