The Russian occupation forces continue to modernize their missile weapons both technically and tactically. This was stated by aviation expert, leading researcher at the Antonov State Aviation Museum Valery Romanenko on Ukrainian Radio.
According to him, the Russians have abandoned the use of false targets on ballistic missiles and instead have begun installing jamming generators. Their task is to "blind" Ukrainian radars, adjusting to the very systems used by Ukrainian air defense.
" When one missile flies, it seems like there are 20-30 of them. Only an experienced guidance officer can distinguish a real target from a virtual one ," Romanenko explained.
Cruise missiles have also received similar improvements. They are equipped with systems for shooting traps - thermal or radar. This significantly complicates the task for Ukrainian air defense, because the missile can simulate several objects during the attack or divert interceptor missiles in the wrong direction.
In addition to technical changes, the occupiers are also improving their tactics. They are trying to use ballistics in areas where there are no Patriots, and they are launching X-101 missiles into regions without powerful air defense systems.
The expert also noted that the navigation systems in the North Korean missiles that Russia receives from the DPRK have been improved. This once again confirms that the enemy is constantly increasing the technological capabilities of its arsenal.
“ We are dealing with the technical improvement of all types of weapons used by Russia ,” Valery Romanenko concluded.
