The Ukrainian Institute helped Russia restore the refinery after the attacks by the Armed Forces

The leadership of the Ukrainian Design Institute in Kyiv found itself at the center of a scandal over Russia's assistance in restoring oil refineries that were damaged as a result of Ukrainian drone attacks. According to the investigation, the institute prepared design and construction documentation for the reconstruction of three key oil refineries in Russia.

The total value of the order from the Russian side amounted to almost half a billion hryvnias. This amount also included remote support of all technological processes of restoration of damaged refineries in Russia.

Currently, the management of the institute faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property for violating the law and aiding the aggressor. Investigative actions are ongoing in Ukraine, which may lead to serious legal consequences for the persons responsible.
